So I just got back from the NJ Speed Raceway 500

I'm feeling pretty lame. My fastest lap was 18.438 and since I did not know you had to go tell the front desk after your second race, I sat around for a few hours anxiously waiting to be called and therefore was not able to set a lap that qualified for the tournament. Oh well I guess. It was my first time karting/ racing and on my second race I cut 2 seconds off my first races best time. I think if I had the 3rd race I could have went into the 17s and qualified but that's all in the past. On the plus side, because it was so crowded and we didn't get to race as much as we wanted, the owner gave everyone in the 500, 4 free laps. So there's that. Good luck to Tom Tom who is probably still racing right now!

EDIT: if anyone was there and was wondering, I was driving under the name Yo Mane Grosjean.

I was 30th at the one in horsham for a while (top 32 qualify) and then I slowly dropped and then when I did my 3rd race they didnt count half my lap times because they messed up the timing, and I wasn't able to get back into the top 32 :(

It was my first time there. My best lap was 22.3 something and I wouldve gotten in if i couldve shaved off just a couple tenths. The best time while I was there by anyone was like a 21.2

Yup sounds just like my experience, fastest lap by anyone there today was 17.227 which put me about a second away from them. I had such a hard time in the second race though because some dumbass was blocking me and was ignoring that he was getting flagged.

Woah.... Dood... There three other opponauts were there @ SR Horsham, too... MountainCommand, DocWalt and myself... We were 5th, 22nd, and 23rd going into the bracket. Races and got knocked out...

Did you miss our invite posts? Bummer. You also missed out on some impromptu tire changing in the parking lot due to mountaincommand attempting to spelunk in one of PA's finest pothole caves.

We all agreed to setup a get together when the weather breaks.

Teehee, you have no clue how happy I am to wake up, browse OPPO and see my car. I ended up qualifying 15th and finishing 6th in my heat. We should have found each other, piss poor coordination on out parts though (and organizers of the event at times.)
